4. Limited company, staff and finances Saimaa UAS is maintained by Saimaan ammattikorkeakoulu Oy, a limited company owned by the South Karelia Educational Federation of Municipalities. The federation includes nine member municipalities: Imatra, Lappeenranta, Lemi, Luumäki, Parikkala, Rautjärvi, Ruokolahti, Savitaipale and Taipalsaari. Saimaan ammattikorkeakoulu Oy's (Saimaa University of Applied Sciences Ltd) turnover was EUR 23.0 million in 2012. The balance sheet total was EUR 27.0 million (on 31 Dec 2012).
