But it was his willingness to be who he was and his relationship with his dad that won many hearts. Also his relationship with Blaine Anderson is one of the most popular relationships in the show ( which I will not go into. Because you don’t need an anti-Blaine rant.) Glee

19. 01.10.2016  Growing up I had no idea what the queer community was. Kurt was actually my first experience besides the great-aunt I don’t really see that often. When my family found out my idol/ celebrity crush (hey I ain’t denyin’ it) was a gay man they weren’t thrilled, but they tried to respect my choice to be an ally.  We went to go see him over the summer and he was so kind and sweet with me (wanting a private one on one with me, calling me Sweetheart, holding my hand) my parents began to see him in a whole new light. They respect him now, much more than they’ve ever had. They’re still not ok with the fact he’s gay, but at least they now understand why I love him so much, and respect my choice even more. How he turned me and my parents into allies (errr.. well almost).
