9. Summary The Cost of Gratefulness The writer told us that it is easy to express gratefulness. When he was a boy, his father usually took him on short outing on Saturday. And they often ate ice cream cones at the Dairy Queen. His father usually gave him 20 cents for the ice creams, then he ran to buy ice creams. One day, they were in the corner where they had to decide, and his father suggested that he paid for the ice creams. But, he didn’t accept that, because his allowance was just 25 cents a week. When they got back home, he regretted his decision. Just 20 cents could have been a way to express his gratefulness for his father's buying. But, his father didn’t rub selfishness in, or even act disappointed. That fact touched him, and he decided that When they went out again, he would buy it for him.

15. Opinion The Cost of Gratefulness I think there are many things to thank your father or mother. In my case, father and mother always give me unconditional love, even though I disappointed them. Whenever I meet my parents I feel sorry about many thing. I’m not a good child I think. Because I hardly express my thankful feeling. When I red this essay, I found myself in this character. This is a real story and mine is also. After I red this, I want to thank everything which they’ve done to me. I called them and said “I thank that you always give me unconditional love and believe me”. How about expressing your thankful mind to your parents today?
