APARSEN has provided a mapping between OPM – Open Provenance Model and CRMdig – Conceptual Reference Model which are two important hubs. Provenance-based Inference Rules Provenance-based inference rules can reduce the amount of provenance data that has to be stored. APARSEN has identified three basic rules accompanied by real world examples. Provenance-based Inference Rules and Knowledge Evolution Inference rules can introduce difficulties with respect to the evolution of knowledge. We have identified two ways to deal with deletions in this context (foundational and coherence semantics) Based on these a number of update operations were specified for knowledge updating under said inference rules. The general ideas behind this work (including the discrimination between foundational and coherence semantics of deletion) can be applied to other models and/or sets of inference rules.
