15 What has happened in the story thus far? What is the main event that leads to the plot? Think Pair Share predictions up to this point in the story. Make sure you support with text. Think of a good question up to this point to ask someone in the classroom. An example would be: Why is Nick nervous?

(Characterization) Why did Mrs. Granger send a letter home before the start of class? How did Nick’s mother react to the letter? Make a prediction, with evidence about what will happen next in the story.
