1 2nd MenEngage Global Symposium Men and Boys for Gender Justice

2 India Habitat Centre New Delhi November 10-13 The overall purpose of the Symposium is to create a common understanding and shared consensus about the need to engage with men and boys to achieve the overall purpose of gender equality in society.

3 The symposium is also an opportunity to reach out to All men and boys about Gender based violence and Gender discrimination in society as issues of common concern and to mobilize them to take greater interest and stimulate actions for Reducing gender based violence and gender discrimination. 4 We aim for: Share knowledge and practices on working with men on gender issues Discuss partnership with women’s rights work and other social justice work Develop positions on need to work with men and boys Mobilise men and boys in across the globe on understanding men’s roles in gender based violence Channel collective energies in creating and sustaining the momentum for change for the next 5 years Collective energy Partnership Knowledge

17 Masculinities Film Festival Over 150 films received and reviewed from 20 countries 60+ films finalised for the package Some feature films – which can be screened at Delhi public festival but not with travelling package Travelling package with brochure will be ready by mid- August Brochure will be distributed to all participants Package can be sent to all ME Coordinators for active dissemination in their region
