9 HUMAN RESOURCE EXAMPLE
Tesco effectively manage their human resources by ensuring that they have enough operational staff to complete all roles in the organisation. Ensuring they have enough management to make decisions about the operation of the organisation. Ensuring they have enough senior managers and directors to ensure they are able to make decisions about the direction of the organisation. A vital role of the human resource management is to ensure that recruitment takes place effectively and efficiently so that all necessary roles are filled. Another vital role is ensuring that the staff have appropriate skills and experience to fulfil these roles, if necessary the appropriate training is given to staff to support them in their role. For Tesco to be a successful company they need to be able to put the customers needs first. They need to deliver the right products, at the right time, in the right place at the right price. They need to deliver the good value for money with products of a good quality and deliver a wide range. If Tesco are focused on this throughout their recruitment and training of staff (their human resource management) and also through their treatment of staff (continuous human resource development) then the company will improve their performance. It is vital that this is something that is seen as continuous process to ensure that effective recruitment and training of staff keeps up with the changing demands of customers.
