5. COTC CAREER FAIRS Career fairs offer students and alumni an opportunity to meet and network with employers form area businesses. The COTC career fair is held in Newark at Adena Hall. On the COTC website they have several tips for attending the website, some are: Take 5 minutes at the door to review the list of attending facilities Highlight those you want to talk with so you can organize your time efficiently Dress and act professionally Go alone to the various employers Make direct eye contact and shake hands firmly Walk confidently Have a positive greeting

9. SUGGESTIONS FOR COLLEGES TO IMPROVE PROCESS Increase the number of job fairs each year. Holding a job fair at the end of each semester for graduating students. Offer mentoring programs that partner graduating students with perspective employers to mentor students in their career field and job search. Partner with community agencies, government offices and temporary employment agencies to provide complete job experiences, internships and opportunities for graduating students.

10. Overall I think graduating students need to take advantage of all job search opportunities, events and education to help them find the right job in their career. Hopefully colleges and community resources will continue to grow and benefit the graduating students who have invested in their education. It may not be easy and the sooner you start utilizing your resources the sooner you will find your perfect dream job.
