2 About the ALLIANCE The Long Term Conditions Alliance Scotland (LTCAS) formed in 2006 to advocate for a shift to asset-based approaches, articulated through the self management agenda. LTCAS became a powerful alliance bringing together a wide membership and building an influential position as strategic partner, and critical friend, of the Scottish Government. Board feels strongly that we now need to look to the future and adapt to the changing policy context. Central to this has been re-naming the organisation.

3 About the ALLIANCE The ALLIANCE’s vision is for a Scotland where people of all ages who are disabled or living with long term conditions, and unpaid carers, have a strong voice and enjoy their right to live well, as equal and active citizens, free from discrimination, with support and services that put them at the centre.
