Update: Drafting rules M&P DRAFTING RULES has been submitted for approval at July SC 27 meeting in SC-2015-0035, but one point drove to some discussionsSC-2015-0035 Updated the definitions, to assure that the definitions are identified with a capital initial letter ETSI asked at SC27 and SC 28 for more time to review the proposal and is currently evaluating alternative possibilities to get the desired result. Due to the need to stabilize the drafting rules for R2 (It is not the only change), if a counter proposal will be not ready at the next SC 29 meeting (2 nd December 2015), it is planned to ask for the approval of SC-2015-0035, at least as working assumption.SC-2015-0035 © 2015 oneM2M Partners TP-2015-0857-MoW_Report_at_TP_20 3

Update: New participation type for member based organizations – Requirements have been fixed Requirements and limitations: 1) No financial obligation 2) No IPR obligation 3) No rights of vote at SC and TP 4) No possibility of direct technical contribution for the organization and its members (still possible to collaborate via liaisons and have contribution via oneM2M members/PT2) 5) No need for PT1 and PT2 to sign the PA at each new partner/member inclusion, the approval is made during SC meetings or by email approval, or signing an additional separated documents Rights 6) Rights to attend TP and SC (Not to contribute) 7) Rights to present (non technical) informational material 8) The PT3 have the right to refer to oneM2M in their document in their Website, etc. Obligations 9) The PT3 have the obligation to support actively the promotion and visibility of oneM2M at least twice a year and report their activity to the SC. © 2015 oneM2M Partners TP-2015-0857-MoW_Report_at_TP_20 4

Update: New participation type for member based organizations OptionsComments New PARTNERSHIP type (e.g. Associated Partner, PT3) -Easy to include obligation -More evident visibility of the organization -Requires significant editing of PA New type of participation, neither Partner or Member (e.g. Affiliate) -Requires a relatively limited editing of the PA -Less evident visibility of the organization -Easy to include obligation – Some options were analyzed in M&P and reviewed with the Legal group. Update: New participation type for member based organizations – M&P will continue to work on that, in collaboration with the Legal group – M&P also received also several comments about finding more attractive name to replace PT1 and PT2.
