6 Ridiculously Simple Questions Sometimes we need to back all the way up and figure out where we are and where we believe we are going. That can involve reflection and questions that make use uncomfortable Some questions can open the door to many other questions!

7 Ridiculously Simple Question #1 What is your clinical mission and vision? Particularly, how does clinical education revenue fit into that mission? Who needs to “come to the party” to understand and shape this mission and vision?

8 Ridiculously Simple Question #1A Is your clinic budget separate from your departmental budget: On paper Conceptually? Theoretically? There can be many blurred lines here: Clinical faculty appointments Space Other resources There are benefits and drawbacks to having a separate budget!

9 Ridiculously Simple Question #2 How do tuition dollars (particularly registrations in clinical education) fit your educational and financial models? Again, having a *clear* answer here can be both helpful and challenging for you as a clinical education director!

10 Ridiculously Simple Question #3 What is your accounting basis? Cash-based Accrual-based

11 Ridiculously Simple Question #4 How/when are you tracking your status? Spreadsheets? Reports? Dashboards? Monthly? Weekly? Daily? And, WHAT are you measuring?
