3 2.Why did Hitler go to prison? (Why is this ironic?) He went to prison for staging an uprising in Munich (which failed). It is ironic because he eventually takes over Germany anyway.

He thought that demand could be increased by putting people back to work building highways and public buildings. The gov’t should finance such projects even if it had to engage in deficit spending (or had to go into debt)
