2 Benjamin Franklin's family life Benjamin Franklin was born on January 17,1706 in Boston, Massachusetts He grew up in Boston, Massachusetts When he was seventeen years old he ran away from Boston, Massachusetts to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was married to Deborah Read in 1730 He had two children named Francis and William

3 Benjamin Franklin's major accomplishments. Benjamin Franklin was an important person in American history. He changed the world by signing the Constitution at eighty-one years old and by helping to make America a free country. He bought the Pennsylvania Gazette and it was the most successful newspaper in the colonies. He also started paved roads and stop lights. He invented bifocal glasses and he discovered that lightning is electricity.

5 Benjamin Franklin's character traits The most impressive thing about Benjamin Franklin is that he discovered that lightning is electricity. I think the three character traits that helped him succeed are courage, honesty, and citizenship. I think courage because he went outside in a thunderstorm flying a kite and discovering that lightning is electricity. I think honesty because he would always tell the truth,and he would always say something and do it. He showed citizenship because he would always help people by making new inventions and by helping America.
