8 WE ARE TO HONOR OUR MOTHERS Exodus 20:12 (NASB) "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the LORD your God gives you.” Ephesians 6:2-3 – (NASB) “HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER (which is the first commandment with a promise), 3 SO THAT IT MAY BE WELL WITH YOU, AND THAT YOU MAY LIVE LONG ON THE EARTH.”

9 If you honor your mother, you will receive a blessing

10 John 19:25-28 (NASB) … But standing by the cross of Jesus were His mother, and His mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus then saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He said to His mother, "Woman, behold, your son!" 27 Then He said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother!" From that hour the disciple took her into his own household. 28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all things had already been accomplished, to fulfill the Scripture, said, "I am thirsty."
