2. One of our goals in A Block, is to provide our students with real life experiences to base our learning on.

3. We walked to Gallagher Pools for swimming lessons with experienced tutors in the warm water.

4. We enjoyed ourselves on Water Fun Day

5. We practised Kaitiakitanga by caring for Monarch caterpillars, tadpoles and frogs. In spring, we will plant swan plants for next year’s caterpillars and make a pond for our frogs to live in.

6. We practised our riding skills at Bike and Scooter day with Milly from Sport Waikato.

7. For Kaitiakitanga in Term 2, we went on a trip to learn how the Zoo Keepers take care of the animals at the Hamilton Zoo.

13. On Wednesday 7 May we celebrated the opening of Stage 1 of our new Junior Playground

18. Classroom Talk Managing Talk - focuses on managing behaviour. Task Talk – focuses on supporting learners to complete the set task/piece of writing. Learning Talk – focuses on addressing an individual or group learning need.
