9 Additonal Information about HS classes in MS This opportunity is available to all students and all will be considered. AIG status does not mean automatic qualification for acceleration. It has no bearing on the criteria. We will use the outlined criteria to determine eligibility. Acceleration committee will meet in June and contact students and parents regarding eligibility for HS courses. There will be an appeals process for students determined ineligible. These will be considered on a case by case basis. Next Steps: Discuss possible acceleration with your child, in regards to what it means now and in high school. We will review all students’ data. You do not need to nominate. It is not an application process.
