2. Does the stem color affect the height of a plant? Hypothesis: We predicted that the plants with green stems would grow taller than the plants with purple stems.

4. Growing Days Day 2-11 – watched them sprout. Day 12-15 – started to blossom and grow pods. Day 16-21- pollinated our plants and they stopped growing. Day 22-39- watched our pods get big and bumpy. Day 40- Harvested our pods but had no seeds.

5. Method of Pollination We used the method of cross pollination to breed our plants

6. Experimental Method We were going to observe plants with green stems and purple stems to see which would grow taller.

7. Pollination Decision We cross-pollinated our plants according to stem color. Example: Green stem with green stem

8. Embryogenesis Success We predicted that we had impregnated pods. Results were not what we expected the “impregnated” pods turned out to have parthenocarpy. Ratio:34 pods with 5 seeds in each:34 pods with zero seeds.

9. Experimental Method to test Offspring results We were going to test our results by measuring the height of plants with green stems and plants with purple stems and compare the two.

10. Results The results of our plants seed production.

11. Conclusion Our plants didn’t produce any seeds even though we were successful in producing pods.
