MISSION The mission of the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute is to increase the awareness, acceptance and use of segmental concrete pavement systems in North America. GOAL AREAS A. ADVOCACY B. 4 4 Goal Areas and Priority Objectives, Cont’d Goal Area F– EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE Objective 1: Engage FHWA/LTAP in permeable pavement education Objective 2: Conduct (or facilitate) sessions at 25 centers Objective 3: Educate Manufacturer/Contractor sales staff to sell Commercial applications Objective 4: Educate and promote paver installers, certified installers and project inspectors in ICP/PICP construction assemblies Objective 5: Prepare and promote best practices for commercial applications Objective 6: Investigate programs by outside organizations, e.g., civil engineers, etc. Objective 7: Promote segmental paving technologies in university curriculums Objective 8: Develop student design competition Goal Area G– TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE Objective 1: Define, develop and improve technical resources (Tools, Programs, Software) Objective 2: Promote advancement of technical knowledge that matters through research Objective 3: Maintain and promote a library of design tools and easily accessible content and information on line Objective 4: Investigate product quality compliance with product quality standards
