6. 6 BTG CONOPS COPC Action Item 2009-2.3: The CSAB shall request from the NWS TOC the NWS Backup Telecommunication Gateway (BTG) CONOPS document to include a description of the data flows as it relates to COPC. CONOPS completion pending NWS/TOC – AFWA agreement under review by NOAA General Counsel. CSAB recommends this action be kept open.

7. 7 NDE Backup COPC Action Item 2009-2.4: The CSAB shall identify OPC requirements for a backup capability to access, process, and distribute NDE data at NPOESS C1 and recommend solution alternatives to meet those requirements. CSAB shall acquire the NDE CONOPS, including the definitions of NDE of operationalizing data. NPOESS restructuring and transition to JPSS underway. COPC may want to open a related action once the JPSS roadmap has reached final form. CSAB recommends COPC close this action.

8. 8 NESDIS CIP COPC Action Item 2009-2.5: The CSAB shall evaluate the list of applications not included in the NESDIS CIP capability and establish a recommended priority for addition of applications; and acquire and evaluate the timeline of product restoral and recommend changes where they enhance restoration of operational capability. IASI and ASCAT were identified as high priority items by NCEP; NESDIS will included both products in CIP capabilities. AFWA and FNMOC identified no mission critical on the list of applications not included in the NESDIS CIP. CSAB recommends COPC close this action.

10. 10 SafetyNet COPC Action Item 2009-2.7: The DoD OPCs shall provide an update on a request for a reordered SafetyNet receptor site install that optimizes latency and a request to accelerate the SafetyNet receptor site install schedule. AFWA/NAVO/FNMOC memorandum sent to the IPO and response received January 2010. CSAB recommends COPC close this action.

11. 11 ESA/ADM Data COPC Action Item 2009-2.11: The CSAB shall draft a request on the behalf of COPC to NESDIS for support of the European Space Agency (ESA) Atmospheric Dynamics Mission (ADM). [Specifically, requesting NESDIS support the provision of Wallops Island as a secondary ADM receiving station.] NESDIS/OSO indicates they will make plans in support of this effort. CSAB recommends COPC close this action.
