2 SOCIAL MEDIA REVIEWS The site that I am getting the reviews from also contain the overall best of all the social Medias that it has done reviews on, it has placed Facebook at the top, tweeter second and Google+ third. I would also agree with is website as Facebook is the most used social media, meaning that there is more chance of users seeing the page, the only problem with Facebook is that the website makes you have to pay to actually promote your page to more users. Now Instagram did not appear on the social media bar graph so I shall use my own ratings for it. Instagram is a well-known app that easier to use than Facebook, it is also able to spread more information better than Facebook as the only way to get Facebook to share content with a larger audience is promoting it (which cost). The only problem with Instagram is it can only show a small amount of information but can help to lead users to a website you own or other social media.

3 THE BEST SOCIAL MEDIA TO USE FOR BUSINESS The three main social media platforms used by other media companies are, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Although most companies have accounts for most social media sites, these 3 are definitely the main ones which they update regularly. I believe this is because they can use these three for different things – Facebook for long updates, including links and photographs, which can be displayed to their followers. Facebook also uses cookies in order to display relevant adverts to the user, which can help promote our business. Twitter on the other hand, can be used for regular quick little updates, and links, as well as being easier for followers to have a small update pop up on their phone to read on the go. Then, Instagram is used to show the companies photographs, or videos, promoting their work and using hashtags so that anyone can find their posts and then look into the actual company from there. All three together work really well as they can all be linker together.

5 PIE CHART SUMMARY When using social media, more often than not people use it 4-6 times a day, being followed by 7-9 times then 1-3, with a good 10% of people not using it at all. With Facebook being the most commonly used at around 73% followed by 18% using Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter only having 3% of the people we asked using them, and no one used LinkedIn. Out of those asked most said that they used social media for keeping in contact with friends or getting updated on favourite topics; music, TV shows. With minimal amounts of people using it for business or the news.

7 BEN’S HAND OUT SURVEY SUMMARY The results show that Facebook is by far the most used social media platform. Also by the look of the results social media is used a lot, as most said they use it more then ten time a day! When asking what they used social the most for they said talking with friends. When it comes to what social would they use to be their hub, most said twitter, which is odd as I would of chosen Facebook as it is the closed thing in social media to being able to make a website, but the survey does not lie so twitter is what most people would use. For getting their business out there, most said Facebook which in this case I thought twitter would have been better as its easier to find information from people you don’t know on twitter, but once again, people would use Facebook over anything else.

Responsibilities of a social media manager: Set realistic goals that tie back to your objectives which are: Growth of likes, reach, engagement, leads, sales Good design, making sure in advertising and posts that there is consistency and that it gets the point across. The social media manager must perform a brand discovery that highlights what is unique about a business including reasons why people want to buy from the business. This also describes ideal customers including their interests, where they spend their time and how you can help them.
