9. A writing sample Guangzhou, a modern metropolis, is most suitable for both investment and residence. It is located at the northern edge of the Pearl River Delta and borders on the South China Sea. It is the capital city and the center of politics, economy, science & technology, education and culture of Guangdong Province.

10. With an area of 7434.4 square kilometres and a population of 10.15 million, Guangzhou is covered with mountains in the north, has hills and the river basin in the middle and coastal plains in the south.

11. Guangzhou is warm with enough rainfall all the year round. With abundant sunshine and beautiful scenery, Guangzhou has a favourable environment, and rich natural resources. With over 2,200 year of history and unique Lingnan culture, Guangzhou is a famous city for delicious food and fruit, and also jade carving.
