3 1) To know how to read data from maps including choropleth maps, isoline maps and proportional symbol maps. 2) To be able to describe and explain data from these data maps. 3) To apply data in order to complete/construct these data maps.

4 To know how to read data from maps including choropleth maps, isoline maps and proportional symbol maps. Use page 9 of the Tomorrow’s Geography text book and take notes on Isoline Maps Highlight the main points of a choropleth map using the hand out (page 70) Highlight the main points of Proportional Symbols using the hand out (page 74/75)

5 To be able to describe and explain data from these data maps. Choropleth Task 1: Describe (4 marks) and explain (4 marks) the density of UK population using the hand out page 238 Proportional Symbol Task 2: Describe (4 marks) and explain (4 marks) the map of Industry and commerce using hand out page 21.

6 To apply data in order to complete/construct these data maps. Choropleth Task 1: Activity 1 on page 71 on the hand out. Get a copy of the world map and use an atlas. Proportional Task 2: the stretch and challenge activity on page 75 of the hand out.

7 Do and mark the exam question on these graph data map techniques.
