Learning to Trust God Randy Binkley 2/24/2013

Trusting God Faith Belief

“ Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for…. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Heb. 11:1 & 6

“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” Matt. 21:22

“As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!” When He entered the house, the blind men came up to Him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They *said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” Then He touched their eyes, saying, “It shall be done to you according to your faith.” And their eyes were opened..” Matthew 9:27-30

How can I learn to trust God More? Trials + Trust

“In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ” I Peter 1:6-7

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble (trials). But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

“ Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Prov. 3:5-6

“ Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

“This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another…… We love because he first loved us…. Those who love God must also love one another.” I John 4:10-11…19-21
