6 Update Information CIITS Leadership Custom Roles Now Available Two new CIITS custom roles have been added to the Title drop-down field on the District Assignments tab in Infinite Campus. These new custom roles are CIITS District Leadership and CIITS School Leadership. This assignment was created at the School level for Assistant ant Principals and at the District for Instructional Supervisors or Assistant Superintendents. DO NOT ADD THIS ASSIGNMENT TO PRINCIPALS OR SUPERINTENDENTS!

7 Update Information CIITS Contact Roles added to Web Security Administrator Two new CIITS contact roles have been added to the Person Role Manager application within the Web Security Administrator: 1) CIITS Primary Contact 2) CIITS Secondary Contact. The Web Apps Admin Point of Contact (WAAPOC) in each district can add or remove this role from district individuals. The individuals assigned this role will receive important CIITS communications from KDE. Each district should add the CIITS Primary Contact role to at least one individual. 8 Updates Renaissance Learning Interim Assessment Data added to CIITS KDE entered into a partnership agreement with Renaissance Learning to add interim assessment data to CIITS. Renaissance provides the data through an efficient direct data transfer to Schoolnet, our CIITS vendor. In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), districts that would like to have their Renaissance Learning Assessment Data included in CIITS must provide authorization by completing this Data Disclosure Authorization form. 9 Updates Enhancements to CIITS Gradebook Transfer Process Enhancements have been made to the process that sends grades from CIITS to Infinite Campus. For enhancement details, please see the KSIS Notification sent to KSIS contacts on August 27. (KSIS Notifications are available on the KSIS Alerts and Notifications Webpage for 60 days.)KSIS Notification.

10 Updates 2012-13 ACT Scores Available 2012-13 Junior ACT scores are now available in CIITS. To view standardized assessment scores for a student, search for the student, then click Standardized Tests tab on the Student Profile. Use the ‘Show Filters’ button to filter to the test you wish to view. To view standardized assessment reports for a district, follow this path: School & District Data Module > Preformatted Reports > Standardized Assessment Performance.

11 EDS Caseloads KDE is aware that there have been technical difficulties within CIITS in the following areas: Caseload Manager in the Education Development Suite (EDS) module Assistant Principals and district staff accessing components of EDS Special Education Teachers accessing components of EDS If you continue to experience an issue with your observation caseload, please click the following link: http://tinyurl.com/PGESIssuesReport to report the Observer/Observee name. 14 School District Site Visits Process 1.Where did we start (Spring of SY 2011-12 and SY 2012-13)? 17 Early Adopter School Districts first (Maritta visited) Established common data gathering, questions, report summaries and follow up survey questions Visited Central Kentucky next (Maritta and Joe visited) Spread across regions of the state to reach 72 school districts (Bob and Joe visited) 2.Where are we now (SY 2013-14)? 85 school districts left to visit (Bob and Joe will visit) Modified common data gathering and questions (report summary template remains the same) Visits will be completed by the end of 2013

16 The visit starts with a discussion about CIITS rollout in the district to get a feel for what is happening. How is CIITS being used for instructional planning connections? Who do you go to or collaborate with for instructional help (partnerships)? What type of impact are you noticing between CIITS use and instructional improvement? How is the implementation and scaling up of PGES with use of EDS going? What types of technology funding issues do you have? Instructional Impact
