‘Tearfund enables organisations like the Wholistic Development Organisation (WDO) in Cambodia to work with the poor in daily life. This enables people to have enough food and money to send their children to school. Tearfund’s support is very important for improving the standards of living.’ Pokteuv Thida, Chief Executive, WDO

Tearfund’s ten-year vision is to see 50 million people released from material and spiritual poverty through a worldwide network of 100,000 local churches. By praying and being generous you’re playing a vital part in this mission. Thank you for being part of this worldwide network of hope this harvest time.

Tearfund’s harvest campaign 2010

Globally, every five seconds another child dies because of hunger and malnutrition. Local churches in some of the world’s poorest communities are stopping this. We’d like to share the story of one family being helped in Cambodia. And to invite churches to share their plenty this harvest.

Meet Mol, his wife Tol and their four children, Kunthea (10), Raskmby (7), Oudom (5) and Sreylen (3).

Pastor Chheoun manages the rice bank for the community.

‘What’s important is that church is committed to working with the poor.’
