One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living. Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” And they left their nets at once and followed him. Mark 1:16-18 NLT

A little farther up the shore Jesus saw Zebedee’s sons, James and John, in a boat repairing their nets. He called them at once, and they also followed him, leaving their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired men. Mark 1:19-20 NLT

Why Jesus Called Teenagers… Teenagers are RISK-TAKERS Willing to do something that seems impossible No hesitation to try

When was the last time you risked something for God?

When a great ship is in harbor and moored, it is safe, there can be no doubt. But that is not what great ships are built for. - C.P. Estes When a great ship is in harbor and moored, it is safe, there can be no doubt. But that is not what great ships are built for. - C.P. Estes

Why Jesus Called Teenagers… Teenagers are MOLDABLE Disciple means “learner or student” They ask questions (want to know why) Usually has less responsibilities as adults

Why Jesus Called Teenagers… Teenagers tend to be SOLD OUT It’s their top priority Maybe even willing to die for the cause
