7. Mark 10:17 And as he was setting out on his journey, a man ran up and knelt before him and asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” ‘Good Teacher” Does this guy really understand who Jesus is? ‘Eternal Life” His interest is in something Jesus can give him.

9. Jesus understands that all true goodness comes from God. He’s saying, “When you call me good, do you really know what you’re saying? If I am good in the ultimate sense, it’s because I am not merely a good person; it’s because I am God in human flesh.” So when Jesus says, “Why do you call me good?” he’s asking the question, “Do you really know who you are talking to? - Ray Pritchard
