2. Stamp Act Response In response to the Stamp Act, South Carolina was a part of the Stamp Act Congress and organized Sons and Daughters of Liberty groups in Charles Town.

3. Tea Act Response In response to the Tea Act, South Carolina cities Georgetown and Charles Town held small tea parties in support of the Boston Tea Party which resulted in the British passage of the Intolerable Acts.
