1 Rules for a good Powerpoint Presentation Your name and date

2 How much information ? If you put too much information into a Powerpoint presentation it will be very difficult for your audience to take in. Your presentation should NOT have lots of information on the screen which you read out. This is really boring! Your aim is to engage your audience with short, interesting, points and then to expand on them in your speech. Have notes to hand to help you. Write one bullet point for each aspect you intend to talk about. This is a bit like chapters, with each chapter having sub- sections. Whatever you do, DON’T JUST READ FROM THE SCREEN

3 How much information ? Plan each slide on paper One slide for each topic Brief bullet points about each aspect Engage your audience with short statements which you expand on Keep to 20-40 words on each slide DO NOT READ FROM THE SCREEN
