1 Learning objectives After finishing learning this unit, students are expected to : 1.grasp the ways to make appointments and give invitations. 2. understand what study tips mean and employ some tips to form a good study habit so that they can improve their own study. 3. grasp some useful words and expressions. 4. be able to write a letter of invitation according to the instructions.

2 1. Listen to the following conversations about making an appointment and then choose the correct answer for each of the questions below. (See Page 38 ) Listening and speaking 2. Students summarize the ways to make an appointment (see page 39). 3.Listen to the conversation about making invitations and finish the exercises on Page 39. 4. Students make a dialogue according to the situations on Page 38 and Page 39 using the expressions of making an appointment and invitations. (if time permits, play the video parts attached to this ppt.)

Students watch the movie clips and discuss what tips Elle Woods adopts or doesn’t adopt.
