Avenue Vineyard May 01, 2016

Jean Vanier “Community takes a long time to form. It takes a long time for barriers to drop, for mutual confidence to grow, for nonverbal communication to become more important than words. A community is only a community when most of the people in it have made the passage from "the community for me" to "me for the community."

“If you want to go fast, walk alone. If you want to go far, walk together.” African Proverb

“…I constantly remember you in my prayers. 4 I long to see you again, for I remember your tears…” 2 Timothy 1:3,4

“I am reminded of your sincere faith… 6 For this reason I remind you to rekindle the gift of God that is within you…” 2 Timothy 1:5,6

“With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the sake of the Good News. 9 For God saved us and called us to live a holy life.” 2 Timothy 1:8,9

“ 12 That is why I am suffering here…for I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until the day of his return.” 2 Timothy 1:12

“ 14 Through the power of the Holy Spirit who lives within us, carefully guard the precious truth that has been entrusted to you.” 2 Timothy 1:14

2 Timothy 2:1-4 “Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus. 2 You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others. 3 Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 4 Soldiers don’t get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for then they cannot please the officer who enlisted them.”

2 Timothy 4:1,2 “In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I solemnly urge you: 2 proclaim the message; be persistent whether the time is favorable or unfavorable; convince, rebuke, and encourage, with the utmost patience in teaching.”
