This means you have been trained, tested and passed in a certain area of work. A certificate is given that states you are competent to carry out work in that area.

Successful completion of the assessment will allow the installer to demonstrate their competence in the installation of domestic hot water storage systems in order to join a competent persons scheme, which will allow the self-certification of installations.
