1 NARA Repeater System Update January 11, 2016

2 Repeater System Enhancements  Washington and Woodbury run completely audio- flat  All system tones are generated from the local machine  DTMF sequences will route across the system but will not be transmitted from any user access port - All machines will have pre-access enabled  All internal system links run without courtesy tones  All system IDs will move to 2175Hz

3 Repeater System Enhancements  Washington will no longer transmit courtesy tones - Primary system access should be through Warren, New Milford, and Woodbury machines  Washington will filter all system IDs via port 1 RX audio notch filters (~60db)  All local machine audio will have the beep-boop courtesy tone - all link audio will use a boop-beep tone.  Link radio TX hang time is eliminated, but COR logic is changed to reduce the chances of links doubling into Washington

4 Pre-Access Functionality  All machines have pre-access enabled for DTMF decoding  Local machine access requires a * tone  Accessing a remote system requires its pre- access code: Washington#81Washington#81 New Milford#82New Milford#82 Warren#83Warren#83 Woodbury#84Woodbury#84

5 Remote Linking Requirements  External links can slave the Washington machine  Links must ID at 2175Hz  No courtesy tones should be sent across the link  Link radio hang time should be as short as possible (while still avoiding ping-ponging)  DTMF sequences for linking and de-linking are shared with NARA
