2. A: This is the United Nations logo. The UN began on 24th October 1945 when many countries joined together to try and prevent the kind of devastation of world wide war which had happened twice in the space of the previous 30 years. This is the United Nations Humanitarian Refugee Agency logo. The UNHRA began on 14 th December 1950. It was only meant to exist for 3 years but is still working hard today. It aids displaced persons fleeing persecution.
