Eastern Europe Centre IROICA – 20.06.2008 - EEC founded in 1995 as an interdisciplinary centre at University of Hohenheim - Its responsibility is the support and co-ordination of interdisciplinary activities within the University’s specific research areas of natural sciences, agricultural sciences and economics concerning Eastern Europe

Management of IAMONET - RU IROICA – 20.06.2008 BSc/MSc 6-months EU -> RU:Learning Agreement Translation of national marks into ECTS-credits RU -> EU:Learning Agreement Courses similar to those at the home institution are fully recognised ECTS-credits are translated into national marks Courses different from those at the home institution are recognised as additional performances Individual study plans Missed courses and exams can be passed before or after the mobility flow

Management of IAMONET - RU IROICA – 20.06.2008 MSc 22-months RU -> EU:MSc-Degree fully recognized in Russia Recognition through the Ministry of Education PhD 34-months RU -> EU:Russian system of PhD-level education (Aspirantura) unchanged Foreign PhD-Degrees are not recognized PhDs have to pass the national defense procedure

16 16 Lessons learnt so far… ■ Promoting, monitoring, Follow up are important facts for the success of EM ECW ■ Do not overestimate technology - have live meetings ■ More priority to AS and Target Group 2 ■ Activity start should be before the official confirmation from the EU – it is a risk, but better for the time schedule ■ Put even more emphasize to language qualification ■ BP not yet implemented in Russia => EM ECW contributes to the process, but accompanying measures required IROICA – 20.06.2008
