5 Clicker Policy “Faculty shall adopt the same brand of clickers supported by Syracuse University’s Information and Technology Services.” – In response to USA’s Resolution #08.2016 – A resolution recommending that Academic Governance develop a campus wide policy regarding the use of clickers in ESF Courses.

8 Personnel Jessica Clemons began as Interim Library Director September 2015 4 years at ESF – scholarly communications, Research Times Interim Library Director search has not yet begun Other Personnel – need to hire part time clerk and temporary librarian position

9 Collection Management Inventory project – Discarded items going to Better World Books – Access to discarded materials by ESF personnel (e.g., faculty and graduate students) – Began notifying Library Committee, Committee reporting to departments Digital Commons @ ESF – Went live October 2014

10 Digital Commons @ ESF Knothole – 300 issues Landscape Architecture: City Wild Willow Project technical documents Roosevelt Wildlife Station Bulletins and Annals Datasets from work with DEC http://digitalcommons.esf.edu/

11 Digital Commons Cost is $16,000 No limit on amount of files – Best practices on file size and type Open access journal capability – cost is already paid by the library (see above) Could request ISSN from Library of Congress

12 Other Collection Management News EBSCO Academic Ebooks – <$2000/year – 140,000 e-books Dropping ESF Refworks – Underutilized – Will provide transition assistance as requested – Many converting to Mendeley and Zotero – Endnotes if online through Web of Science

13 30 year anniversary Fundraising: – $1200 per study carrel. Sold 8 of 24 Join for $25 and get a mug! Money will go toward proper care of college archives Suggestion of student experience in archiving Friends of Moon Library
