Bellringer 11/12 1. Create 3 foldables for your notebook You have 24 minutes (8 minutes for each) This will be a grade If you don't know, look it up!!!!! When you are finished, Mrs. Chapel will check. DO NOT hand them in, keep them in your notes. Foldable 2 Second foldable fold paper hamburger style create 4 doors labeled pwave, swave, Lwave and R wave. Look each wave up and draw them behind the doors. Answer these two questions in your notebook. 1. Which waves create the most damage in an earthquake? (body waves {s, p} or surface waves? {L, R}) 2. How many seismic stations do you need to find the epicenter of an earthquake?

Foldable 3 Create another hamburger fold with another sheet of paper Create 3 doors Label the 3 doors: normal fault, reverse fault, and transform fault Behind the doors, draw a 3D diagram of each fault that shows the direction of movement of the hanging wall and foot wall Write down the boundary each fault is found at and arrows to show convergence, divergence, or transform
