18. Great Internet Safety Rules for Families Keep the computer in a common room in the house, not in your child's bedroom. Spend time with your children on-line. Have them teach you about their favorite on-line destinations. Never arrange a face-to-face or phone meeting with someone they met on-line. Never upload pictures of themselves to people that they do not personally know. Show you anything they receive that makes them uncomfortable.
