Defending My Design By Micah Nakao

My Logo PICTURE

Why the color(s)? I chose red as my most defining color because I feel it is the best representation of my emotions and my personality. I chose black because it is an empty color that does a great job at balancing the white in the headphones. I used gray because it is the color made when combining white and black, meaning that I can represent either color, or both.

Why the shape(s)? The main shape used in my logo were circles because they are perfectly symmetrical shapes, no matter which way you cut them if you go directly through the center.

My Poster PICTURE

Why the quote? I chose this quote, stated by Master Oogway from Kung Fu Panda, because I attempt to live my life by the quotes guidelines. I try to forget about the past, not worry about the future, and live my life in the present.

Why the picture? When Master Oogway said his grand quote, he was talking to Po who was eating peaches from the Sacred Peach Tree.

Why the font? The animated movie Kung Fu Panda is based around the customs and features of traditional Chinese culture. The font I chose for this quote represents Kung Fu, which was a popular study in China.

Why the font color? I chose a peachy color for the font because the background is black and white and the only color visible is the font’s color and the vibrant colors from the peach. To show formality and uniform color in the poster, I used the same color for the font as the peach.
