I will make this the establishing shot because the video will be filmed at numerous locations around the school not one location. Long shots are also referred to as wide shots or establishing shots. An establishing shot establishes the subject’s location for your viewers by revealing its surrounding. It might also be used to cover broad action involving several people in a large area.

6. 5-Video – Introduction by Mrs. Toulson, the narrator – Length 00:01:00 The narrator will be looking directly at the camera during this shot. The narrator will introduce what the video will be about. She will discuss what a reluctant reader is, who a reluctant reader is, why you may be considered a reluctant reader and will explain what fluency means in this section of the video. This will be filmed in a classroom with the narrator sitting in the “reader’s chair” filmed as a medium shot at eye level.

Length – 00:00:30 Three to five teachers will be interviewed and asked the question “Why students need to read with fluency”. They will give their opinion on why reading with fluency is important to students and will talk about the results the students will get if they learn to read with fluency. The setting of these interviews will be in the media center, classrooms and/or administrative offices. This will be a medium shot filmed at eye level.

9. 8 Video- Narrator - Read books that interest you Length 00:00:30 This will be a video where the narrator will say that if you are a reluctant reader, you don’t have to stay a reluctant reader forever. You first must learn to read books that interest you. Everyone can enjoy reading if they find books that they are interested in. The students will have on different uniforms such as different sports uniforms, dance, band, etc signifying that everyone and anyone can enjoy reading. Each person will state why they like to read and what they enjoy reading. The action that will take place is a book will be thrown to one person and they will state why they like to read and what they like to read and then they will throw the book to the next person. This will continue until the last interviewee receives the book.

12. 11 – Video – Reader’s Chair Length : 00:01:00 Narrator explains one way to improve fluency and have fun with reading at the same time is with a reader’s chair. Narrator explains what the reader’s chair is and how the concept of the reader’s chair works. A reader's chair allows students to share with their classmates a favorite book they have recently read. A reader's chair gives a student the opportunity to select a 1 - 3 minute passage from his/her favorite book and share with the class. The teacher gives each child a date to present his passage to the class. The student can spend as much time as they choose practicing the selection and are encouraged to practice every night by reading the passage out loud so they can read fluently and with expression for their presentation. Practicing the presentation will give the students the opportunity to practice fluency skills like pausing at commas and periods and using voice inflections to show excitement or other moods. Once the student has practiced their passage, they get to present it to their classmates while sitting in a special chair. The presentation can involve how they feel about the story and information about the setting, characters and illustrations. 15. 14- Video - Students performing Reading Chair – Length 00:02:00 In this scene, a student actor will demonstrate how the Reading Chair is done. He will read a passage out of one of his favorite books and will discuss his personal feelings about the books while sitting in the reader’s chair and then will get feedback from his teacher and classmates when he finishes. The student actor will be in a classroom in front of the class sitting in the “reader’s chair”. This will be a medium shot at eye level of the student actor. The camera will pan the students in the classroom.
