I: Pubic crest & Symphysis (Pelvis) A: Flexes Spine

5 External Oblique Outermost muscles of trunk
Fibers run like hands in pockets O: Ribs 5-12 I: Anterior pelvis A: Flexes and rotates spine

6 Internal Oblique O: Anterior pelvis I: Cartilage of ribs 8-12 A: Flexes and rotates spine

7 Transversus Abdominis
Deepest layer of abdominal muscle Fibers run horizontally A: Stabilize the pelvis!

8 Posterior Core Muscles: Back
Erector Spinae Multifidus

9 Erector Spinae O: Sacrum
At lumbar level it splits into three columns, each of which with 3 parts A: Extends spine

10 Multifidus Located on both sides of your spine
Run from your pelvis and low back all the way to your neck: each muscle spans 2-4 vertebrae A: Work with transversus abdominis to stabilize pelvis

11 Core Stability Transverse Abdominis=The Corset Multifidus=The Laces
