4 Our expectations and standards Respect Uniform Attendance Punctuality Conduct Learning Hard work Get involved, take part, take a risk

5 So, how have they done? Respect – lots of “good mornings” and doors held open! Uniform – very well dressed, no reports of wrong uniform Attendance – Over 98% Punctuality – 98.5% Conduct – 11 days, 108 students, a total of 4 reports (all linked to talking too much). Learning – staff have reported that students have been engaged in lessons Hard work – 64 House points (by 10.00 a.m.) Get involved, take part, take a risk – football club on Monday was full up! Lots of volunteers for Open Evening

6 What have they been saying….? “Sir, I had been really nervous about going to secondary school, but now I’m here, I love it. Its so much better than my primary school.” “I’ve had a different meal everyday and I’ve liked all of them” “Do I really have to go home, I really love science and want to have another lesson”

19 A simple online homework calendar showing homework information, deadlines and attachments for students. Homework will be displayed online, using Show My Homework. What is Show My Homework?

20 Benefits for Parents You can see exactly how much homework has been set. It’s much easier to take part in home learning. Translation into 50+ languages. Better communication through school announcements.

21 Homework appears in the calendar as a block, stretching from the issue date to the due date. Select a piece of homework for more details.

22 In this view we can see a task’s title and description, how long the homework is expected to take, and how it should be submitted. Helpful resources – files & websites – are displayed below the homework.

23 Show My Homework can be translated into over 50 different languages. Just select a language from the drop-down menu at the bottom of the page.

30 Reporting Progress At various points throughout the academic year, data will be collected and reported to parents in a variety of formats:- AcronymDescription Full ReportFull academic report with comments supplied by each teacher focussed around gap analysis, progress against subject based targets and setting clear targets to aid progression to next level using subject descriptor language. Progress ReportTeacher current level and engagement for learning.
