3.  KJV: “…Go ye therefore, and teach all nations…teaching them to observe.  Term #1 – MATHATEUO = enroll as a learner, disciple, make a disciple of…  Term #2 – DIDASKO= to teach, to instruct

4.  The role of the teacher  1 Timothy 3:2 -- …able to teach…  2 Timothy 2:2 -- …entrust…to faithful men who will be able to teach others also….

5.  “The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged….”

6.  Psalm 78:1 – “Listen, O my people, to my instruction; Incline your ears to the words of my mouth….”

7.  “Take hold of instruction; do not let go. Guard her, for she is you life….”

8.  TEREO – to guard, to watch closely, to keep an eye on, to observe carefully  What is the duty of a disciple? To keep the commands of Jesus.

9.  Jesus’ commandments  No longer the Jewish covenant  No longer human creeds  No longer traditions of men  But Divine precepts

10.  Ephesians 4:11-13 – “…And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.”

17.  John 16:7 – “But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you….”
