21 SOME TIPS First note down all the essence of the problem. Remember: You want to deliver potable water to people living on floating and stilt buildings. The water level changes with the season (wet and dry) Where will you have everything located: floating, on a stilt, stuck to the house, etc? Imagine a simplistic case involving you sitting at the top of a buoy in the Indian ocean (maybe in the Perth harbour area or some place you’re familiar with). How can you send water up to where you are? The water level changes with the tides? The ocean water is plenty but I doubt you want to drink it as it is!

22 SOME TIPS Transfer the thought process you had in the simplistic and familiar case to the Tonle Sap area You don’t have to tackle both the water treatment and water supply issues for the Challenge, you can pick one (but both would be great). Remember to consider economic, community and environmental impacts of your design wherever possible when designing (TRIPLE BOTTOM LINE).
