3 AUBURN UNIVERSITY Auburn University is the oldest land-grant institution in the state of Alabama Auburn University was established in 1856 as the East Alabama Male College In 1872, the school became the first land-grant college in the South and was renamed the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Alabama The name was changed again to the Alabama Polytechnic Institute in 1899 In 1960, the school name was changed to Auburn University

4 AUBURN UNIVERSITY Fall semester 2015 enrollment was 27,287 The University offers more than 140 degree options in 13 schools and colleges at the undergraduate, graduate and professional levels The Department of Communication Disorders offers a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders, Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, and Doctor of Audiology degree

9 CLINICAL TITLE SERIES: PARTICIPATION IN ACTIVITIES THAT CONTRIBUTE TO UNIVERSITY’S ACADEMIC MISSION Activities that: (1) predominantly involve clinical practice; (2) are of contractually specified duration; and (3) operate under contracts, grants, generated income, or other designated funds”.
