Science Classes Offer Project Options A timeline was only option within the chemistry project. For this product, the student researched the discovery dates of twenty different elements. Then they created a timeline using their data. Illustrations were added to make the timeline colorful and creative.

Science Elements Projects In physical science some students created collages of pictures. The collage represents the presence of elements in the world around us. This product was one choice for a culminating project that offered a variety of activities based on different styles of learning.

More Elements Projects This poster shows where various elements are found in nature. This student chose to draw the examples rather than cut them from an existing source.

More Science To demonstrate their understanding of the periodic table of elements, students created element posters. Students were asked to create a poster for an element of their choice and include various information such as, element name and symbol, a drawing of the atom, the number of protons, neutron, and electrons, and the location of that element on the table. One student created their poster as an advertisement to sell that element.

Magnolia Suite 300 Burbank, CA 91505 Dear Mr. Depp: I am a student at Parkrose Middle School and in 7th grade. We have been given an assignment in our technology class to write to our favorite celebrities. Ever since my mom told me I should see “Edward Scissor Hands”, I thought you were the best actor. I like how you can look serious when you say something funny. I haven’t seen all of your movies, but I’ve seen a lot, and I plan on seeing the rest. I can’t think of my favorite. I like all of them. “The Secret Window” is a good one, and don’t get me started on “Pirates of the Caribbean”. I think you’re the coolest actor and probably will for a long time. I hope that you will have time to send me an autographed picture. I would love one of you as Ichabod Crane in “Sleepy Hollow” (which is another of my favorites) or “Edward Scissor Hands”. Sincerely, Madeline M. Mitchell
