4 Power and Energy O Power is the rate at which work is done. O Since the transfer of energy is work, then power is the rate at which energy is transferred. O Power = Energy Transferred/Time

5 Kinetic Energy O The energy an object has due to its motion O Factors Affecting KE O Mass and Velocity O Calculating KE O KE = ½ X Mass X Velocity 2 O Changing velocity will have more affect on the KE than changing its mass O Double the mass = double the KE O Double the velocity = four time the KE
