2 Events preceding the Nuremberg Laws July 14, 1933 - Nazi Party is declared the only legal party in Germany In September - Nazis establish Reich Chamber of Culture, then exclude Jews from the Arts. September 29, 1933 - Nazis prohibit Jews from owning land. October 4, 1933 - Jews are prohibited from being newspaper editors. January 24, 1934 - Jews are banned from the German Labor Front. May 17, 1934 - Jews not allowed national health insurance. July 22, 1934 - Jews are prohibited from getting legal qualifications. August 2, 1934 - German President von Hindenburg dies. August 19, 1934 - Hitler receives a 90 percent 'Yes' vote from German voters approving him becoming “Fuhrer”. May 21, 1935 - Nazis ban Jews from serving in the military. June 26, 1935 - Nazis pass law allowing forced abortions on women to prevent them from passing on hereditary diseases. September 15, 1935 - Nuremberg Race Laws against Jews decreed.Nuremberg Race Laws against Jews decreed.

3 Jim Crow Laws and Nazi Racial Laws Nurses: No person or corporation shall require any white female nurse to nurse in wards or rooms in hospitals, either public or private, in which negro men are placed. (Alabama ) Buses: All passenger stations in this state operated by any motor transportation company shall have separate waiting rooms or space and separate ticket windows for the white and colored races. (Alabama) Restaurants: It shall be unlawful to conduct a restaurant or other place for the serving of food in the city, at which white and colored people are served in the same room. (Alabama) Intermarriage: All marriages between a white person and a negro, or between a white person and a person of negro descent to the fourth generation inclusive, are hereby forever prohibited. (Arizona) Education: The schools for white children and the schools for negro children shall be conducted separately. (Florida) Barbers: No colored barber shall serve as a barber [to] white women or girls. (Georgia) Parks: It shall be unlawful for colored people to frequent any park owned or maintained by the city for the benefit, use and enjoyment of white persons. (Georgia) Section 1 Marriages between Jews and citizens of German or some related blood are forbidden. Such marriages... are invalid, even if they take place abroad in order to avoid the law. Section 2 Sexual relations outside marriage between Jews and citizens of German or related blood are forbidden. Section 3 Jews will not be permitted to employ female citizens of German or related blood who are under 45 years as housekeepers. Section 4 1. Jews are forbidden to raise the national flag or display the national colors. 2. However, they are allowed to display the Jewish colors. The exercise of this right is protected by the State.
