({About the Section}) Affective disorders is when a person has very extreme emotions. These disorders can really affect a person’s daily life. Manic- depressive disorders is when a person can be really lively and happy, then the next day will become sad or even angry.

({ Main Idea}) The main idea for Manic- depressive and Affective disorders is that a person’s mood changes from day to day.

({The Whole Truth}) Affective disorder is when a person’s moods or emotions become extreme an interfere within a person’s life. For example, a person with affective disorder normally is always happy and fun, but something very emotional happened an now the person is very quite and doesn’t enjoy the same activities anymore.

({Cont..}) A person that has Manic- depressive disorder is someone that one day will be really happy, and then the next day become sad. An example is if you have a friend that is one day wants to go shopping with you and having fun the whole day, but the next day wouldn’t even really talks to you. These disorders are important for people to know because you can get treated for them or talk to someone, like a therapist.

({ True Story}) I knew this girl that seemed pretty normal and was really cool. She was really fun and exciting to be around and there was never a boring day. Then, one day her boyfriend broke up with her and she changed. She started ditching school and we barely spoke. I never spoke to her ever again.

({ What I feel}) I think these disorders can happen to anyone at any time. For instance, if someone is going through their parents getting divorced or if someone gets dumped. The effect can take be severe on a lot of people.

({ Summary}) My section on Affective and Manic- depressive disorders is about the severe affects that people get when something has happened to them. A person can one day feel and act very happy, but then the next day feel tired and not want to hang out with their friends. Someone who experiences these symptoms can be treated if they go to psychologist, then they might prescribe you medicine depending on the severity. These disorders can happen at any time without warning. Just try to focus on the positive things in your life!
