3 Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences  Verbal/ Linguistic  Logical  Visual/Spatial  Natural  Interpersonal  Intrapersonal  Bodily / Kinesthetic  Musical/Rhythmic

4 Interactive File Folders  Variety of subject material  Laminate for additional use  Utilize Vis a Vis markers or post-it notes…  Meet various intelligences  linguistic, logical, interpersonal, intrapersonal

5 Let’s see what you learned about….  Utilize photographs, text, pictures which pertain to unit content.  Utilize a variety of sources for materials.  Meets various intelligences  Logic, Visual, Interpersonal, Verbal

6 Shower Curtain Visual  Utilize vinyl shower curtain and electrical tape, contact paper, or permanent markers to create a reusable product.  Class records ideas on post-it notes or vis-à-vis markers.  Create a graph, Venn Diagram, Story Map, or KWL chart.  Meets a variety of intelligences  Verbal, Visual, Logical

7 KWL Chart  Students evaluate what they think they know before using the unit/activity.  Students personally choose questions they would like to have answered during their learning experience.  Students record what they learned from their experience.

8 Venn Diagrams  Compare and contrast key concepts  Compare a concept to personal life RainforestWetland Characteristics similar to both

10 Dice/Cubes  Create these dice from stereo packing foam and clear, packaging tape.  Use the dice for scoring points in a whole or small group game or deciding what kind of a question you ask the group… (1 = a why question)  Utilize content information

12 Interactive Bulletin Boards  Integrate a variety of content areas.  Create student-centered activities which students manipulate objects.  Activities could be self-checking if used as a reinforcement or extension.  Meets multiple intelligences  Logic, Visual, Bodily- Kinesthetic, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal

16 Spinners  Use pizza boards (AC Moore) and permanent markers. Laminate or use contact paper. Attach a string to the center to create the spinner.  Record any content on the boards.  Use as a whole group or small group activity.

17 Puzzles  Incorporate content on the puzzle pieces.  Students create puzzles for each other.  Meets logic smart, body smart, visual, and/or words smart

18 Card Activities  Increase class participation by giving them a manipulative.  Students hold up card in response to teacher’s question.  Examples  Si/No  Truth/Garbage

19 Beach Balls  Beach Balls, Sharpie markers, Contact Paper  Generic – Use in all subject areas  Outcome  Getting to Know You  Numbers  Vocabulary
